Old Tulare school bell to ring one more time Tulareans are rightly proud of their old school bell made in 1884. It's still being pulled out for ceremonial occasions, such as opening day last week of the new Mission Oak High School.

"It has a beautiful ring," said Tulare Joint Union High School District Superintendent Howard Berger, who revels in telling the story of the bell.
